Two days in the desert working in black and white with design & furniture brand BassamFellows. The approach to this project was about the opposite to how I generally work, and it was a beautiful and super enjoyable experiment. For starters, color plays a very big role in my work, and here we opted to strip it away in favor of the graphic power of black and white - something we knew would speak to the design of the furniture. I also slowed down my pace, kept it all very structured with slow and subtle adjustments & direction, and created light that would provide the feeling we were looking for. It was refreshing to mix it up, flex new muscles creatively, and push into different stylistic regions.
